I’ve been posting features of our Strong Girls in our Strong Girl Spotlight section of the blog for a few months now. When I’ve asked what these Strong Girls love about their body, a majority of them have responded saying they love their legs! So it’s no surprise that similarly many girls following the 8-Week Workout Plan in the Strong Girl Guides have told me their favorite workout is leg day! Legs and booty are always my favorite to workout, as well! So, I thought I’d share a leg and booty workout (sprinkled with some abs) I recently did at the gym!
For this workout you’ll need:
- A mini band. I use this blue one from Perform Better here.
- Stability Ball
- Bosu Ball
- Barbell
- Bench
- Leg Extension Machine
Warm Up: 3x
Stability Ball Wall Squats 25
Stability Ball “In N Outs” 20
SS #1: 4×10
Leg Extensions
Strong Girl Curtsy Squats
SS #2: 4x
Side Steps w/ mini band 25 (step out to right, bring left into right leg while still maintaining resistance, then step back out to the left = that’s one rep)
Step Ups 10
SS #3: 4x
Bosu Ball Jump Overs (Side to Side) 16
Barbell SLDL 12
SS #4:
Bicycles 50
