I can’t believe how fast this academic year flew by! While it’s been the most challenging year balancing both being in school and traveling the country visiting and speaking on college campuses for the Strong Girl College Tour, it’s also been the most rewarding! I have learned so much, not just about positive psychology and well-being, but also about myself. I couldn’t have done this masters program without the support of my classmates and professors, but also my family, boyfriend Michael and this Strong Girl Community! For the last 9 months, I worked round the clock, late nights and full weekends, studying, writing papers and also leading my Strong Girl Workshops and Workouts. The way my masters program is structured, I would fly from LA to Philly and back about every two and a half to three weeks for class. Crazy, I know! This program was rigorous and intense, but I loved it! It exceeded all of my expectations. It’s, honestly, quite difficult to describe this program, how much it means to me and how much it positively changed my life in words. I’m beyond grateful to have been accepted and given the opportunity to be a part of this program and this year’s class! While we technically don’t finish our coursework and officially graduate with our Master of Applied Positive Psychology Degree until the end of summer, we had our graduation ceremony to walk and celebrate at Penn on May 13th & 14th!
Here are some fun pics from graduation! It was freezing and raining the day of our graduation, but it was so fun taking pictures with friends and classmates! We definitely got rained on… hence the crazy hair, but I’m so glad we have pictures to remember and savor this special day! The lovely and talented photographer, Mila Eugenia, braved the rain and weather with us to capture these images!
