There’s not much to tell except that I’m always full of energy and always up for an adventure.
What does “Strong” mean to you and what makes you a Strong Girl?
To me strong is more than physical strength. It also can be used to describe someone’s emotional mentality and character such as bravery. I am a Strong Girl because I pick myself back up and keep going no matter what life throws at me.
What excites you about being a Strong Girl Campus Ambassador?
I’m excited to show the women on my campus how they can be healthy on the daily in life now and in the future.
What is your favorite thing about The Strong Movement™?
I love the It is what hooked me on the Movement.
How do you envision The Strong Movement growing on your campus as a community of encouraging and supportive group of girls?
I see every women on my campus working out together, and sharing tricks they like from The Strong Movement and sharing recipes. I see everyone who is apart of this coming together.
When did you discover fitness and healthy living and decide to make it apart of your lifestyle?
I’ve always had fitness in my life but it wasn’t till the end of my high school career that I decided to make healthy living apart of my lifestyle.
How has exercise and healthy eating increased your confidence and self-esteem?
I have more confidence in myself and I’m not afraid in public settings to be noticed anymore. I don’t really worry about what others think of me, since I know that I am living healthy.
What challenges and/or injuries did you have to overcome in your fit journey?
I have needed to cut back on a lot of the foods I’ve been eating, and I find it difficult to work-out in gyms since I feel inadequate compared to the others there.
What keeps you motivated when the going gets tough?
Just knowing how I feel when accomplish something, and knowing that there is something beneficial at the end of the journey.
What do you love about your body?
I love my calfs. I’m so happy I have danced for so many years.
What do you wake up looking forward to and excited about everyday?
I wake up knowing that I’m one day closer to graduating college and will finally be living my dream.
Do you have any daily rituals?
At this time in the year, it feels like naps are my only ritual, Haha! But honestly my daily ritual is at night, I will read a part of a book before I go to sleep to expand my mind and to stop my mind from thinking too much.
