FIT FASHION LOOK: FP MOVEMENT x TARGET NEW YORK CITY ATHLEISURE
TANK: Women’s Burnout Tie Front Tank in Purple | LEGGINGS: Free People Movement Turnout Yoga Capris from Yoga Outlet | SPORTS BRA: TSM Activewear White Adjustable Sports Bra | SHOES: Marissa Thong Sandals in Gold from Target | BACKPACK: Women’s Neoprene Athleisure Backpack from Target
Since I’m always in Activewear, I love an outfit that can transition well between running errands and going to a yoga or pilates class! This look was inspired by just that–my New York City Athleisure outfit! I shot this look with Lauren from @LaurelCreative in between the West Village and the Meatpacking District.
I grew up dancing and the minute I came across these FP Movement leggings on YogaOutlet, they reminded me of my dancing days! I prefer to pair these leggings with sandals, especially since I like to wear sandals or flip flops to yoga and pilates! They’re easy to take off and slip right back on before and after class. The ties on these leggings have a softer, more feminine side, which is perfect for a hot yoga, studio pilates class or barre class. And, I love the deep purple jewel tones that I based the whole outfit off of and matched with gold accents!
I have to say that I’m OBSESSED with this backpack! I always go to Target the day before I leave on big trips to stock up on travel necessities. And, seriously, I can’t leave Target without finding more things “I need” than what I went to the store originally for….is it just me or does this happen to everyone?! I’m not sure if I’ve shared with you before, but I have scoliosis, and so walking around with a purse, a lot of times, really throws off my alignment and posture. I walked passed the backpack section and thought a backpack would be a much better idea for walking around the city! It’s SO CUTE, SO FUNCTIONAL AND SO AFFORDABLE! I love the gold accents – It actually matches my Michael Kors purse and looks like it’s part of the same collection–super luxe! I love that it’s made out of a neoprene material, so it was breathable in the hot and humid New York weather. And, it just matches with everything! It’s super versatile and it’s currently my go-to. I even took it on my trip to Zion and hiked with it everyday! And, I have to say that, yes, I had much better posture in New York and it helps me stand up straighter and pulls my shoulders back when I walk, instead of down to one side like a purse. Don’t be fooled by the small size…you can fit a lot in the main compartment, in the inside pocket and two outside pockets.
You can shop this FP Movement look here, at Yoga Outlet and Target and pick your favorite color combinations! I also have similar colored leggings from Fabletics – the Salar Legging in Velvet without the ties that I like to pair with the tank for more high-intensity workouts! I also wore this outfit hiking in Zion the week after I got back from New York!
Michael and I were really excited to fit in a Corepower class while we were in New York, since a new studio just opened up in the city! But, when the time came to get up early Saturday morning (after being out until 4am), we decided to play hooky and hit the town instead for Rose! 😉 No shame in skipping class…we had so much fun walking the high line and hanging out at Santina! It’s such a cute spot with a coastal Italian/Amalfi coast vibe (I’ve never been to Italy, but that’s the vibe I got!)! Highly recommend!
You can get this Sun + Shadow Romper here at Nordstroms!
