Tell us about yourself!
My names Madelyn Rollofson and I’m from Sacramento Ca. I have always been a person that loves adventures and loves the outdoors. I have been skiing since I can remember and wakeboard during the summer. I love hikes, and lived in Tahoe during one of my summers off of college and did more hikes and adventures than I’ve ever done. I love to go on runs, especially with my dad when I’m at home.
What does “Strong” mean to you and what makes you a Strong Girl?
To me, strong means to be not only strong physically but also mentally. It means being able to go on instagram and social media and seeing the girls that are too skinny and still feeling great about yourself because you are strong in the right way. A strong girl is being someone who is strong mentally and physically and builds other girls up rather than breaking them down.
What excites you about being a Strong Girl Campus Ambassador?
I’m excited to work with the other ambassadors as well as being able make myself a stronger person, while building up the other girls that are following the movement.
What is your favorite thing about The Strong Movement™?
I love what the strong movement stands for, not just being workout guides, but also helping yourself mentally be strong, and really doing it the right way.
How do you envision The Strong Movement™ growing on your campus as a community of motivated, encouraging and supportive group of girls?
I think a lot of girls in the LMU community are very big into fitness and working out, so I see the strong movement giving these girls an area to relate and come together to share their strengths and weaknesses about fitness.
When did you discover fitness & healthy living and decide to make it part of your lifestyle?
In high school I was big into fitness went to the gym once or twice a day. I lost it for a little bit and now am getting back into it and now can’t believe I ever let it go. It really lets my mind be free from all the stress I have from school and life and just be focused on myself.
What keeps you motivated when the going gets tough?
My family and friends really keep me motivated when things get tough. I know they are always there for me at any time and no matter what the circumstance is.
