A southern California native, Ailis Garcia is a TV host, speaker, writer, fitness professional and the creator of the women’s fitness, lifestyle and activewear brand, The Strong Movement™. Known for her genuine and down-to-earth personality, ambition and positive attitude, Ailis inspires others to be their best.
Ailis has experience as the host for the Los Angeles Dodgers, hosting a live show and interviewing celebrities and fans during sold-out baseball games. She speaks to female college students and sorority women across the country on healthy living, confidence, happiness and body-image, as well as middle school and high school students on motivation and goal setting. Her ability to connect with people prompted her to create her own interview series, “Kickin’ it With…” where she interviews entrepreneurs, business professionals, leaders and athletes to share their story and inspire others.
Ailis created The Strong Movement™ to inspire women to build both strong bodies and strong minds through fitness, nutrition, healthy living, personal growth and development and activewear. From the Strong Girl Guides she wrote, to the Strong Girl Journal she created and the activewear line she designed, Ailis’ mission has always been the same—to help women feel confident and become their best.
Previously, Ailis has hosted red carpet events as the Red Carpet Correspondent for Latina Magazine. She was the host, reporter, writer and editor for Dodgers Nation and Trojan Tailgate TV, has guest hosted on Celebuzz and Dash Radio, and co-hosted on Girls Guide to Sports and SoCal Sports Report. As a fitness model, Ailis has also modeled for NIKE Women campaigns.
Ailis writes regularly on fitness, fashion, and healthy living. She is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, NASM CPT, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, NASM FNS, Weight Loss Specialist, NASM WLS, and a graduate of the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business and Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies.
Ailis is proud of her Cuban heritage, and enjoys catching up with her family and friends over a cup of coffee, or “un cafecito.” She enjoys reading, traveling and her daily workouts.
